Full Circle Eligibility

Insurance

Different insurances cover a different array of services. The most comprehensive services are covered under full Medicaid. However, Healthy Montana Kids (HMK- previously CHIPS) may also allow families access to a combination of services that will meet their needs.

Private insurance may also cover some of our services, though it is more limited and depends on which insurance and which plan within that insurance. We also offer a sliding fee scale.

The referral agent you speak with will be able to explore options with you based on your insurance, and if necessary offer you information about other services or resources that can better meet your needs.

Our approval process is different depending on the insurance, and can sometimes cause a delay in our ability to deliver. You will be informed if this occurs, and we will problem solve with you on how to move forward.

Diagnosis

All of the children we serve must have an SED (serious emotional disturbance) diagnosis in order for us to serve them. Some examples of SED diagnosis are:

  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder, Depression, or other selective Mood Disorders
  • Intermittent Explosive Disorder

When we begin with a family, we always perform a clinical assessment which will determine SED eligibility, as well as help us gain a broader understanding of current behaviors and functioning, and child and family history.

Our Philosophy Around Diagnosis

While this diagnosis is important for our service delivery, it is by no means the driving force of our work with children and families. Our approach is strengths based and looks at the family and community systems and factors in place. We do not design our treatment based on pathology.

The challenges that arise from mental illness are real and valid, yet they do not make up the identity of a person or family. We see the person and family as people to care about and support, and the challenges as obstacles that can be overcome.
