Family Based Services

The Core Clinical Team

Our core clinical team consists of a Care Coordinator, a Family Therapist, and a Support Specialist. The Family Therapist meets with your family regularly to assist in a variety of ways, which may include facilitating and/or teaching the following examples:

  • Communication styles and techniques
  • Conflict management and resolution
  • Behavioral interventions including structure, rewards and consequences
  • Family dynamics and relationships

The Family Therapist is an important resource as you go through the process. This person also oversees and is responsible for the overall design of the family's treatment.

The Support Specialist provides your day to day behavioral support. The Support Specialist position is where you find the most flexibility in terms of how much time they spend in your home, and what they are doing with the time they spend. This person is meant to blend into your regular routine, adding support specifically around times that are more challenging to manage. This person may spend time with you and your child together, or with you or your child individually. While the majority of their time is meant to be spent in the home, they may also spend time with you and/or your child in the community. If your family needs many hours of support each week, you may have more than one person filling this role.

The activities and interventions the Support Specialists implement stem directly from the clinical goals, and should be seen as an extension of therapy.

The Care Coordinator ensures that communication and cohesion are solid among team members. This person is responsible for scheduling and organizing Full Circle team members, completing required documentation, collaborating with other team members, and ensuring that the clinical goals and objectives are being addressed and implemented. The Care Coordinator will meet with you on a weekly basis to offer support, to check in on how the services are working, to take feedback and strategize with you when issues arise.

This team of Care Coordinator, Family Therapist, and Support Specialist is rarely broken up or provided in individual pieces, though under certain circumstances it is considered.
